Melanie Prosise, OD
Born in Petersburg, Virginia, Optometrist Dr. Melanie Prosise graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996. Dr. Prosise earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2001. She received Honors for Clinical Excellence in Low Vision for her work at the Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Prosise is certified as a Therapeutic Optometrist and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She has significant experience in caring for patients after cataract surgery and refractive surgery.
She provides excellence in contact lens fitting, including soft and gas permeable contacts, bifocals, specialty lenses for Astigmatism and Keratoconus, as well as cosmetic and post-surgical lenses.
Dr. Prosise is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Chelsea Devitt, OD, FAAO
Dr. Chelsea Devitt is from Ohio and received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Doctorate of Optometry at The Ohio State University. Dr. Devitt honed her skills working at ambulatory surgical centers: Eye Specialists of Ohio in southern Ohio, Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, KY, and the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia.
She secured a residency in ocular disease and refractive and ocular surgery at Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta, Georgia where she worked closely with corneal and glaucoma surgeons to manage complex pre- and post-operative care.
Dr. Devitt is adept at utilizing the latest equipment and is familiar with the most cutting edge surgical techniques including partial and full thickness corneal transplants, MIGS, premium intraocular lens implants, refractive surgeries like LASIK, PRK, and ICL, and standard glaucoma surgeries like trabeculectomy or tube shunts.
Dr. Devitt is a licensed optometric glaucoma specialist in the state of Texas. She focuses her practice on ocular disease management including diabetic eye disease, dry eye, corneal pathology and glaucoma in addition to more routine primary eye care and contact lenses.
In her spare time she likes to travel, play volleyball, and explore new restaurants around Austin.
