Shingles and Your Eyesight

The Shingles vaccine is now recommended for everyone over 50 and it could save your eyesight. The majority of adults who get shingles are otherwise healthy and shingles that affects the eye usually occurs weeks after the initial onset of the disease.

Glaucoma Awareness this New Year

As we move into 2018, we take the month of January to spread awareness about a leading cause of blindness in the US – glaucoma. Glaucoma is called the “sneak thief of sight” because early on in the disease’s progression, there are no symptoms.
